All puppies should be wormed at 2 and 4 weeks with Pyrantel.

1. First DA2PP Vaccination (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza)
2. Begin heartworm prevention and intestinal parasite control with Interceptor or Sentinel
3. Administer Pyrantel for deworming if it has not done already.

1. Second DA2PP Vaccination
2. Deworm for roundworms and hookworms with Pyrantel.
3. Consider flea, tick, mosquito and black fly prevention.
4. Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine. Your puppy should be vaccinated against this if you are planning on boarding, puppy daycare, puppy classes, grooming or any other activity involving many other dogs. This vaccine is given intranasally (in the nose).

Continue with heartworm prevention and intestinal parasite control with Interceptor or Sentinel at home.

1. Third DA2PP and first 4-way Leptospirosis Vaccination. In some instances, the Leptospirosis vaccine may not be appropriate for your dog. Your veterinarian will discuss this with you.
2. Continue with heartworm and intestinal parasite prevention using Interceptor or Sentinel.
3. First Lyme Vaccination (if your puppy is at risk)
4. Rabies Vaccination

1. Fourth DA2PP and second 4-way Leptospirosis Vaccination (if your dog is being vaccinated for Lepto)
2. Second Lyme Vaccination (if they are receiving this vaccine).
3. Intestinal Parasite Check- please bring a fresh fecal sample.
4. Continue heartworm preventation and intestinal parasite control with Interceptor or Sentinel.

Neutering (female-spay, male-castration). These procedures are safe and greatly reduce your pet's risk of certain types cancer and other reproductive diseases when performed at 4-6 months of age. 1. Comprehensive Physical Exam
2. Vaccines depending on your dog's potential exposure
3. Intestinal Parasite Check (please bring fresh stool sample)
4. Heartworm and Lyme Disease test. This is a blood smaple that we draw and test here.
5. Year round or seasonal use of Interceptor or Sentinel for heartworm and intestinal parasites.
6. External parasite control determined by your dog's risks.
