Our hours are Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 8am-noon by appointment. We are closed on major holidays. After hours and on holidays you may call 207-989-6267 and you will be connected to the Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Brewer for advice and treatment. We are located at 1522 State St in Veazie, Maine. From Interstate 95 get off at Exit 191-Kelly Road. From the North take a left, from the South take a right. Go to the end of the road a take a right onto Route 2. Drive 1 1/2 miles. We are the brown building on the right after a convenience store and Always Flowers. Yes, we are currently taking new clients and patients. We currently do not care for exotic and pocket pets. No, we are not a kennel facility. We can recommend local boarding facilities. No, we do not provide pet sitting services. We do have contact information for a few. Please call us for more information. We do not sell flea bombs because we believe they are unsafe and ineffective. However we do sell several safe and effective flea treatments for your pets and home. Please call so we can help you decide which protocol would be most effective for you. We do sell some flea preventatives over the counter. However other flea and all heartworm preventatives are medication and require a doctors prescription to be filled. We recommend spaying/neutering pets between 4 and 6 months of age. At this age they are old enough to safely go under anesthesia and they are not sexually mature. Spaying and neutering prior to maturity will help prevent later issues such as mammary or prostate cancer. Pets coming in for spaying/neutering are dropped off at the clinic between 8 and 9am. We do keep a listing of pets looking for homes and we have a list of breeders we would recommend. We do not have a professional groomer on staff. We are able to provide basic grooming services such as baths and shave downs for animals that can not be groomed in a regular grooming facility. Here, under a doctor's care, animals can be sedated or anesthetized for grooming if they are too fractuous to be handled otherwise. Please call for more information. Our Veterinarians believe a key to great care for your pet is communication. We strive to enable our clients to speak with the Doctors whenever possible. However the Doctors are seeing patients and performing procedures throughout the day. Our Doctors strive to see that they or a technician will contact you the same day that you call. There are safe, effective medications that can be used to help your dog's anxiety. Please contact us to discuss the best options for your pet. Yes, we have a laser for performing surgeries. All of our declaws are performed with the laser. Drs. Cloutier and Keene use the laser on most of the appropriate procedures. We do not have a bulletin board. We are happy to list your lost and found animals, pets you would like to place or keep your name if you are looking for a pet. |
