Our Vision, Values, Philosophies & History
To be the best possible primary care provider to pets and their families by promoting an environment of animal health & well being with people who share common values, ever mindful of the human/animal bond and our responsibilities to our community, our environment and ourselves.
Compassion: Born from an understanding of the interconnectedness of all beings, and of all things. It is not just a willingness to be affected emotionally by the condition of others, but a commitment to act from that awareness. It brings the "resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sensitive with the striving, and tolerant with the weak and wrong...because sometime in our lives, we will have been all of these". Integrity: Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It is the compatibility between one's beliefs and one's actions. Positivity: Recognizing and acting upon the opportunity that presents itself in every challenge. "Before you can have, you must become".

In August of 1988 the Veazie Veterinary Clinic opened. It began with a vision of providing the best medical care possible, in an environment that was comfortable for both patients and their humans. Clients were encouraged to ask questions, allowing owners to make important health care decisions, not having decisions made for them. In April 1992 Dr. David A. Cloutier joined the practice. His idea of state of the art medical care mirrored the practices and his professional interests were complimentary. The practice soon outgrew the building and in 1995 an expansion was undertaken. Doubling the work space enabled us to more effectively and efficiently practice the high quality medicine our clients have come to expect. In 2005 Dr. Michael C. McCaw joined the practice. His caring style has quickly made him popular with clients. Dr. Julie Keene joined the practice in 2006. Her intelligence and heart are helping her fit in wonderfully. In 2006 Dr. Cloutier purchased the practice in full. The clinic's philosophy will continue to include encouraging and challenging the support staff to actively participate in the practice. This has resulted in having an extremely competent and knowledgeable health care team.
