“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dr. Julie Keene.
Julie was a cherished friend, mentor, and guiding light to her family, friends, clients, and her coworkers at Veazie Vet. Each of us had a unique relationship with her, and each of us will feel her absence deeply.
Julie faced her cancer with courage and grace. Her dedication to her family, her passion for veterinary medicine, and her commitment to making a difference never wavered. Even through the many challenges she faced, she continued to adapt and find ways to care, teach, and lead.
During her twenty years at Veazie Vet, Julie helped shape much of who we are today. She held herself to the highest standard and lifted those around her through mentorship, education, and compassion. Her influence on our team and our hospital is immeasurable and will live on as her legacy.
In honor of all Julie has given, Veazie Vet will be establishing a Dr. Julie Keene Memorial Fund to support the care of pets.
She will be profoundly missed and always remembered.
